Brigitte's journey in the travel and hospitality industry began with her studies in Tourism and PR in Brussels. Her career took off as she immersed herself in various roles within independent travel agencies, gaining extensive experience in sales, reservations, and operations.
In 1985, Brigitte transitioned into the meetings industry, taking on the role of Operation Manager Incentives at Transcontinental in Brussels. Her expertise and leadership skills led her to Belgium International Travel (now BCD Travel) in 1988, where she held several significant positions, culminating in her role as General Manager of their three corporate travel divisions.
In 1996, Brigitte joined the German powerhouse NUR to develop Neckermann Incentives. Four years later, in 2000, she embarked on an entrepreneurial path and founded her own company, @dmire. Today, @dmire is a leading and licensed service company that excels in supporting, developing, and managing organizations through strategic use of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE).
Brigitte is deeply involved in industry-related associations such as SITE, MPI, and ADMEI. She has served as Chapter President of MPI Belgium and spent three years on the International Board of Directors for SITE. Her dedication extends to being a Board member of ADMEI and participating in several Meetings Advisory Boards. Notably, she was an Executive Committee member, leading the organization and logistics for the SITE EMEA Forum 2013 in Antwerp.
With a motto of "Passionate about the meeting industry," Brigitte holds several prestigious certifications, including Certified Meeting Professional, Certified in Global Meeting Management, Destination Management Certified Professional, and Certified Incentive Specialist.
Brigitte's extensive experience and active involvement in the industry make her a distinguished leader in the field of meetings, incentives, conferences, and events. Her commitment to excellence and innovation continues to shape and inspire the industry.
